The Pf Awards 2021 Winners were announced last night, in a live streamed event which brought the buzz and excitement of the UK’s premier Pharmaceutical Sales Awards into the homes of guests, sponsors and candidates.
Attendees were invited to order their favourite takeaway and pop the champagne in the fridge to celebrate the success of the winners and top finalists after a year of challenges and uncertainty.
Events and Publishing Director of E4H and Pf Awards, Melanie Hamer said: “In what has been an incredibly difficult year, it fills me with pride at the way the industry has come together, worked tirelessly not only on vaccine development, but in supporting the NHS in the Covid effort and working in partnership to tackle the pandemic and ensure patients, and the public, are still at the heart of everything they do.
“This year we adjusted the Pf Awards categories to reflect the immense change in the world and the industry, and I have been incredibly impressed at the high level of entries, finalists and, of course, winners. To still be able to celebrate these achievements, despite being in lockdown, and without the traditional black-tie dinner, has been fantastic.
“Congratulations to every winner and top finalist for achieving so much in the face of such difficulty. We are proud to honour you and celebrate your achievements.”
TV presenter and former international rugby player, Martin Bayfield, returned to host the event with Melanie, with introductions from the National Lottery’s ‘The Voice of the Balls’, Alan Dedicoat. Throughout the evening, guests took to social media to share their celebrations and connect with friends, family, colleagues and peers.
Following a tough Pf Awards Virtual Assessment Day last week, the finalists, along with colleagues, sponsors and invited guests tuned in to hear whether they had won a prestigious Pf Award.
Commenting on the inclusion of new categories for 2021, judge Sue Tomlinson said: “This was a fabulous opportunity to demonstrate innovation and collaboration during unprecedented times.”
