Surrey-based healthcare IT specialist JAOtech has launched two new support products for its patient bedside ‘smart terminals’: a cabinet mounting arm and a multimedia wallbox.
The new JAOtech Arcos 9100 bedside cabinet arm provides an alternative to ceiling or wall mounting. The arms bolt securely to a bedside cabinet. The cables are contained safely within the arm. A gas spring and hinge allow vertical and horizontal adjustment. An extension is available to provide a longer, double-hinged arm.
The new Arcos 8250 multimedia wallbox enables patients to connect their own PC devices or games consoles, and enables nurses to connect hospital hardware such as hand-held barcode scanners. The unit has two USB 2.0 ports, three Ethernet ports and a multi-card reader.
All JAOtech products are manufactured in wipe-down antibacterial plastics and are designed for the healthcare environment.
Based in Redhill, Surrey, JAOtech is an award-winning supplier of embedded smart terminals, over 50,000 of which have been installed in hospitals worldwide. The terminals provide secure access to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) as well as patient entertainment systems.
