Onyx Health are to launch a new VR Learning Platform in response to COVID-19. The Interactive Learning Environment (ILE) is an online communication tool that aims to transform communication between healthcare professionals and the pharma and medtech industry.

Developed in collaboration with Animmersion, the ILE provides a unique immersive digital experience using the latest digital technology, virtual and augmented reality techniques for enhanced user engagement and interactivity.

In uncertain times when access to healthcare professionals is restricted and face to face conferences are being postponed indefinitely, the ILE aims to allow the industry to continue to communicate and educate their customers.

ILE provides all the features of traditional offline engagement in an integrated virtual platform. This includes conference presentations, medical education, product demonstration, virtual advisory boards, direct links to sales teams and much more.

Unlike traditional limitations of conferences and event stands, ILE offers users a limitless digital space that can be continuously improved and developed, accessible worldwide with the potential to reach a global audience.

Digital trends have reshaped the healthcare sector in recent years with the rise personalised virtual care and wearable technology. ILE offers an evolution in healthcare communications and a long-term digital solution to the sector’s communication challenges.

Commenting on the ILE launch Onyx Health’s Managing Director Karen Winterhalter said: “The COVID-19 outbreak has had a seismic effect across the communication industry. This is especially true for many of our clients who have lost that face-to-face connection with their customers. Keeping a business as usual agenda has required the creation of new and innovative ways for our clients to engage effectively with their target audiences.

“The practical consequences of the lockdown, lack of international travel and the general decline we have seen in the ease of access to customers inspired us to develop ILE new communication solution to overcome these challenges.”
