Pf is proud to announce the second instalment of the FREE webinar series with Triducive. This webinar focuses on Agile and how it can help improve pharma and healthcare cross-functional team effectiveness.
Agile expert Dal Singh explores why agile adoption is exponentially increasing within pharma and healthcare and reflects on why Agile has even more utility now than ever before.
“Agile is not just a process, it’s about how people think and work together to accelerate customer value”
Agile: the new kid on the block?
You hear a lot about Agile these days, including the common misconception that this is just a new fad. In actual fact it is not new, it has been around for over half a century. Agile has indisputably transformed the software and financial industry and is now creating similar waves within pharma and healthcare. Teams using Agile approaches get things done faster than teams using traditional processes, they keep customers happier and enjoy their work more. It is essentially about how people think and work together to accelerate customer value, which fundamentally is the reason we go to work.
We work in an industry that relies upon people from different disciplines to come together to deliver customer value. The more effectively we work together, the more successful we will be at serving the customer and the company. In fact, McKinsey’s state that Agile organisations deliver more than three times greater shareholder return, not bad for a fad!
What worked yesterday may not work today or ever again
Rapid changes in customer demands, competition, technology and regulations have made it more important than ever for organisations to be able to adapt and respond quickly, and some could argue that the current global health emergency has made this even more difficult. However, in an environment of uncertainty, it is imperative to stay focused on understanding and meeting customers’ needs and look to explore opportunities to redefine not only the ‘what’ is delivered, but also the ‘how’.
Thinking about the ‘how’, for previously co-located teams, today’s forced nature of working remotely brings additional challenges to cross-functional collaboration. Therefore, changes to the way we work are essential to actualise effective teamwork. A key feature to allow teamwork continuity is having a practical framework. The structured framework that Agile methodologies provide ensures individual and collective team accountability, visibility of activities, productivity gains, whilst building effective cross-functional collaboration in this virtual ecosystem we are all in.
The ability to act, innovate and execute will be critical and will divide those organisations that are thriving, from those that are merely surviving. If you want to know how Agile methodologies can help your teams thrive please join us for the webinar.
