Contract services organisation Ashfield In2Focus has taken on fifteen graduates to join its Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch.
After a two-week induction to both the organisation and the industry, the graduates have started their careers in different parts of the business and will embark on a Graduate Development Programme throughout the next year.
They will be working in departments from Finance to Operations Support, Marketing and Commercial Solutions for between six and twelve months before moving to different departments. The company hopes that by doing this they will gain a rounded understanding of the business and how it functions.
The graduates will also be encouraged to go out into the field as medical sales representatives.
“The graduate scheme is a really good idea. I worked at Ashfield In2Focus in my sandwich year from the University of Leicester and it has been great to come back to work here,” Manjinder Singh Thiara said. “I’m really looking forward to the training and development; it’s great to know that a company is willing to invest so much in you.”
The graduates’ backgrounds range from English to Sports Science degrees, and they have relocated from across the country to take the positions based in Ashby de la Zouch.
“I can’t believe how quickly I’ve settled into working at Ashfield In2Focus. I didn’t know what to expect before I started, but we have been made to feel really welcome,” said Joanna Newton, a graduate who is now a Resourcing Co-ordinator. “It’s nice to know how valued we are, and I feel very proud to be working for such a successful organisation.”
Ashfield In2Focus was overwhelmed with applications from graduates looking for employment, and the candidates were put through a strenuous application process.
Managing Director Chris Corbin commented: “We are really pleased with all the graduates that we have taken on, they are settling into the Ashfield In2Focus way of life really well. They have already started to demonstrate their professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm for the business. We hope that they have a long and successful career with us.”
